Well, let me tell you....my friend Krissy has been talking about the garlic mustard problem ever since I've known her. For the last 10 years, every spring, she has pulled garlic mustard in the Madison area. Her dedication has inspired me to become more active, here where I live, in Door County. That means, finding an area where I can make a difference - by pulling LOTS of garlic mustard and reducing its impact on our native vegitation! I will be posting the wheres and whens of my garlic mustard endeavors here, so stay tuned. In the meantime, why don't you become facebook friends with Krissy (Kris Schoenbrunn) http://www.facebook.com and see if she can inspire you too!

Spring has come early this year and along with the arrival of the beautiful weather comes a lot of new plant growth, plant growth that is both good and bad! One bad one, garlic mustard, an invasive plant which has become a nuisance for our native plants. This problem plant has gone wild and it's right here in Door County. This year, it's my intention to help reduce the garlic mustard population in Door County. For the next two months I will be pulling and bagging garlic mustard. If you are interested in helping out, let me know via my website/contact page.
thanks so much for your interest in this.
