I like your music! The first time i heard you was when you a cold winternight in 1997 played at Hola Folkhögskola. Hola is a village in the forest in the middle of Sweden. And you were playing in the big dinnerroom in the school there. I understand if you dont remember that, but I can´t forget that moment. Since then i often listen to your music. Thanks Dorothy!

Dear Dorothy,
There are many musical geniuses and I know most feed off of each other’s individual muse. Dorothy, however , you are a genius that really stands on your own. Your music and lyrics meld into a seamless, living breathing whole. You take on a magical essence that’s greater than the sum of all it’s parts. AND those parts are some of the most brilliantly advanced and artful musings you can find in our music today.
Your new album, “Pass It On” will seduce all who listen to it. Your lyrics are beautiful stories that all that listen can become lost in, filled with thought-provoking relevance. You burst with sensual richness!
Your new version of “Alma’s Song", soar to celestial heights while at all times the beautiful rhythm of your guitar keeps the whole song anchored. I can only describe this new album as one that is both cosmic and earthy. Dorothy, you will continue to win the hearts of your fans over and over again with your patient, persistent songwriting, your angelic voice, and your honest and artistic reckoning with your formidable womanhood. You are loved beyond belief!

Thank you, Richard Collie

I looked for your site online, on a whim, and am awfully glad to find that you're still working. I first heard you at Barnard College in the winter of 1991 and after that came to almost every show you did at Sin-e until I moved away from New York six months later. It's no exaggeration to say your music changed my life. I live in Philadelphia now - do you ever play down here?

Hi Dorothy I am an old friend of Mary Petricks (about 20 years). She always talks about you and so many times she asked me to come and hear you and I was never able to make it. I listened to your song on garage bands and it's wonderful. Maybe the next time you are in NY I will come with Mary to hear you and meet you. I know someone that knows you also Brian Kelly he comes to my office and we have become friends. He said he always admired what you were doing. He said you recorded at Julians studio. I see him often. Good luck to you. Chris

Hello Dorothy,
I have a hard copy of "Eleanor" that I'll be sending your way soon -- another "writer's cut" -- a different version from the one I emailed you. And as the creativity flows, from words to music and back again, I hope the new recording is evolving into something even more magical than you or your many fans and friends can yet imagine. I can't wait to hear the new songs. Even snippets. Even a howl in the night, or an afternoon sigh. Sounds from thin air, made into your beautiful music .... Inspiration, and Peace!

What a wonderful show on Saturday night at the Door Community Auditorium. I came from Milwaukee with my wife for the weekend to Door County for a getaway. We had heard of Corky Siegel before and thought an evening of music would be a great addition to our weekend. We have been to many shows at the Auditorium in the summer months and I must say that the show you and Corky put on was one of the very best shows we have seen there. Actually it's one of the best shows we have seen in the last 5 years after touring the U.S.A and Japan. We are great music lovers and we feel honored to have encountered such wonderful talent. Thank you miss Scott! You truly play and sing with charm and intensity. Where will you and Corky be next?

I found your music while downloading blues riffs of Odetta...you just happened to have a song titled "waterboy" and I sampled it. Then I sampled "restless machines", then I bought the whole damn album.
Truly unique.
Absolutely transcendent.
You'd better be careful, you might just marginalize all of the garbage the mass market is producing nowadays.
Good luck to you, and I'll do my best to spread the word.

How's it goin' there Dorothy. This new site is great - very easy to find one's way around.
The best news though is that you are recording a new album. You make all of us wait far too long for new albums. Sure, I reared one family and started another in the time it took you to make two CDs. I was beginning to think you had no work ethic at all!
I hope the recording Gods are kind and the Muse is on her toes.
Love as always,
